Project Details:
Insomnia Help Canada is the definition of hope for those struggling with sleep disorders. It is run by a Registered Clinic Counsellor who is passionate about helping people who are struggling with insomnia. Their message and mission is clear: to help people reclaim their sleep and their lives through Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I).
To effectively communicate this message, we crafted a brand identity that's inspiring and full of joy. We chose a colour palette of warm yellows and soothing blues, to evoke feelings of warmth and tranquility. For the visual style of the brand I decided to create something that is clean and modern, with a focus on simplicity and clarity. I wanted to keep the design clean so that any other noise is minimized for their target audience who is running on little to no sleep. A piece of the visual identity that is very important to the brand is photography. We wanted to choose photos that always convey a sense of wellbeing or a sense of enjoyment. Within the brand document we created, there were photography standards put in place to help the human warmth of the brand to shine through.
The logo represents a fresh morning and showcases the transformative power of CBT-I. It's a clear visual reminder that a good night's sleep is within reach. By emphasizing the positive outcomes of her therapy and programs, we aimed to instill hope in those who are struggling.
By creating a brand that is both empathetic, clear, and informative, I’ve been able to help Insomnia Help Canada establish a strong visual presence that was implemented across all of their marketing channels including their website and print. This was a really fun project to work on and that I felt connected to, as I have struggled with insomnia in the past. Being able to create something that is able to connect with their target audience and bring a broader presence to their business makes me so happy.
